Many of the citizens find it disrespectful to wear military outfits in public. Forces outerwears have a great amount of fan following especially from civilians. People love to wear old army jackets and coats but at the same time afraid to do so. Well, in 2005, the US government passed the stolen act in which it was clearly mentioned that wearing military attire in public is illegal. Later on, that act was dismissed. Then in 2013, an almost similar law passed again, which made it disrespectful to wear Armed Forces Jackets to deceive someone. You can definitely wear an Army jacket, however, the one with badges and rank insignia will come under committing fraud.
